J.K. Dobbins Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Broncos RB Status Ahead of Week 11

The Denver Broncos are heading to Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs, though they may be playing without one of their best running backs in J.K. Dobbins. He did not practice on Wednesday, casting doubt on whether or not he would be able to play in Sunday’s big game.

Dobbins is ranked fifth in the NFL and was the centerpiece of the Broncos’ running game. He has 772 rushing yards and is averaging five yards per carry so far this season. His absence could be a blow to the Broncos, which is currently one of the best teams of the season so far.

    What Happened to J.K. Dobbins?

JK Dobbins suffered a foot injury when he was hit by a hip-drop tackle by Raiders defensive end Tyree Wilson. He would return later in the game and do six more carries, and was upset that the tackle was not penalized. However, reports have indicated that the injury he suffered may be more serious than previously expected.

This is because reports are now saying that he may be considered for the injured reserve, but the decision has not been made yet.

“Nothing has been decided yet, and at some point there’ll be more clarity with him and some of these other players,’’ Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton stated.

Is J.K. Dobbins Playing Week 11?

As for whether he will be in action against the Chiefs, it is still unclear whether he will play, but it is likely that he will not. Should the team decide to place him on the injured reserve, however, then this would mean that it is now 100% certain that he would miss the game.

    J.K. Dobbins Fantasy Outlook

For now, it should be safe to sit J.K. Dobbins, especially with him missing practice and the team reportedly considering him for the injured reserve. Things will look even more bleak if he is placed on the IR, as this would mean he would miss at least four games, so Fantasy managers, take note, as his earliest time of return could be around Week 15 if this does happen.

Fantasy Replacements If J.K. Dobbins Misses This Week

As for who might be able to fill his shoes, this could be a good opportunity for fans to finally start rookie running back RJ Harvey. He was selected in the second round and could be an X factor against the Chiefs. Other possible replacements include Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin, but Harvey is the likeliest to get more minutes.
