Is Mike Evans Playing This Week? What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Buccaneers WR Status Ahead of Falcons Matchup

After the upset loss to the New Orleans Saints last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, but wide receiver Mike Evans might not be playing again. Evans has been out since Week 7, getting injured during that loss to the Detroit Lions, and the question now is, will he be healthy enough to return on Thursday?

Though this season has been littered with injuries, Tampa Bay is now 7-6 and is still hanging onto playoff contention. That Week 14 loss to the already-eliminated New Orleans Saints stung their playoff hopes, but they seek to get back to their winning ways against the Falcons for Thursday Night Football. So, will Mike Evans finally make his long-awaited return?

    What Happened to Mike Evans?

Mike Evans suffered a broken collarbone during that Week 7 loss to the Detroit Lions. He had been languishing in the injured reserve for the past few weeks, but he soon had his practice window opened during Week 14 and had limited practices since. However, it is still unclear if he would be healthy enough to play on Thursday, as the Falcons have not yet officially activated him from the injured reserve.

The team has 21 days to activate him after opening his practice window last week, and he is expected to return in December. His return may be soon, but the question is, would it be against the Falcons in Week 15?

Is Mike Evans Playing Today vs. Falcons?

With Mike Evans already practicing, it is looking good for him, and his return seems to be imminent. However, since the team has not yet activated him, it should be noted that he is still considered out for now. This does not mean that the Bucs are not playing him on Thursday, but so far, there is still no word on his activation. For now, it is best to treat him as questionable.

    Mike Evans Fantasy Outlook

As for Fantasy managers, his Fantasy outlook is looking good week by week, but unless the team activates him, which might even be a game-time decision, he is still treated as out for the game. It should be good to wait and see if he plays, but for now, he remains questionable.
