Is Jayden Daniels Playing Today vs. Vikings? Latest Status Update on Commanders QB Ahead of Crucial Week 14 Matchup

The Washington Commanders are in a slump an have had a disappointing season.

As the Commanders enter Week 14 today, they’re pretty much a loss away from being eliminated from the playoffs. This comes just a season after rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels led them to the NFC Championship game last season.

The rookie’s spark last year provided hope for Washington to replicate last year’s success or even surpass with it a Super Bowl appearance. But with just five weeks left in the regular season, the Commanders are at the bottom of the league with a 3-9 record.

One reason for the Commanders’ struggles is the unavailability of Daniels, who had suffered three injuries this season. He most recently suffered a dislocated elbow.

Will Jayden Daniels Play Week 14 vs. Vikings?

After missing the Washington Commanders’ last three games, Jayden Daniels will make his return back to the field today. Per the team, he will be active and will start today against the Minnesota Vikings.

Should I Start Jayden Daniels or Joe Burrow?

If you have to choose between starting Jayden Daniels or Joe Burrow, go with the safer pick- Joe Burrow. Both quarterbacks are recently returning from injuries that have kept them out for awhile, but Burrow looked to be fine last week in his return back, throwing for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens last week.

Burrow’s Bengals face the Buffalo Bills today while Daniels’ Commanders face the Minnesota Vikings. The Bills give up the 13th fewest points per game (21.6) and the eight fewest yards per game (304.5) while the Vikings rank 18th in points allowed per game (23.4) and 10th in yards per game (306.8.)

Even if Burrow has a tougher matchup going up against the Bills defense, there’s too many questions about how Daniels will preform (at least fantasy-wise) today, coming back for his elbow injury.
