Is Jaxson Dart Playing Week 11? Latest Injury and Fantasy Football Update on Giants QB

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has had a strong rookie season since taking over as the starter in late September for Russell Wilson. However, late in the Giants’ 24-20 loss to Chicago last week, Jaxson Dart went down with a head injury. As a result, he has been in concussion protocol this week.

While there was hope throughout the week that he could clear concussion protocol in time to start on Sunday, it did not happen. Dart will not play on Sunday when the Giants take on the Green Bay Packers. Instead, Jameis Winston will step in as the starter.

Winston, a former first overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, has not appeared in an NFL game this year. Despite that, he is slated to start rather than Russell Wilson, who was the starter at the beginning of the season. Winston has maintained a positive attitude all year and is excited to get his first taste of NFL action this season.

    When Will Jaxson Dart Return?

When Jaxson Dart will not play in Week 11, his concussion is not expected to keep him out long-term. According to a report from insider Mike Garafolo, the Giants are hopeful that Dart will be able to return as soon as Week 12.

The focus of the Giants this season is to see what young players are part of their future as they continue their rebuild. There was some doubt around Jaxson Dart when the Giants traded up to get him in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. However, he has silenced his critics and looks like the franchise quarterback the Giants have been missing for many years.

In the seven games where he played significant minutes, he completed 126 of 204 passing attempts for 1417 yards and 10 TDs.
