New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has had a lot of success early on in his NFL career, but not so much in the second half of it.
Kamara began his career making four-straight playoffs with the Saints from 2017-2020, but has missed the postseason the last four years with the Saints. With the Saints heading into Week 12 with a 2-8 record, it will likely be a fifth straight season missing the postseason.
Still, Kamara has been putting together a decent season in Year nine, and even playing through most of the season with a nagging injury.
Alvin Kamara Injury Update
It wasn’t a surprise seeing New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara on the injury report leading up to today’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Kamara has been dealing with a minor ankle injury all season that has caused him to appear on injury reports throughout the season.
The injury has proven to be minor as he has been active for all 10 of the Saints’ games this season. He even had a season-high 22 carries last week against the Carolina Panthers.

Yes, Alvin Kamara is playing in Week 12. Kamara appeared as questionable on the injury report earlier this week, but according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport and multiple sources, Kamara is good to go.

The Saints didn’t elevate another RB off the practice squad, and with Kamara getting a season high in carries last week, it’ll be interesting to see how he is used today against the Falcons.
