George Kittle’s San Francisco 49ers have made it to the NFL playoffs. Even though they’ve secured a spot, there’s still some work that needs to be done. Before the team goes back into action, Kittle celebrated a cozy Christmas night with his family.
A sneak peek into their celebration was provided by his wife, Claire Kittle. She posted several pictures and videos on her Instagram story, showing everything that the family did together on Christmas.
Claire posted a video of their dining table, which had everything one would want. She also posted a picture where the couple posed in their PJs while holding their dog in their arms. The Christmas Tree and gifts could be seen in the background.

While Kittle enjoyed the Christmas celebration with his family, he is currently dealing with an injury. The veteran tight end had exited the Week 16 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts with an ankle injury.
After that, he didn’t practice with the team on Wednesday. On Thursday, the 49ers didn’t practice, but Kittle was still listed as a non-participant. If his condition doesn’t get better before the game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday at home, the Niners would be in deep trouble.
While the lack of practice isn’t going to be a big issue because Kittle can hit the field even without practicing and still produce good numbers, his absence is concerning because it can lead to him being unavailable for his team.
“I don’t think it’s a high ankle sprain,” Kittle said after the Colts game. “We’ll take it one day at a time, and we’ll go from there.”
So far, there’s no positive sign on his injury while the team is eyeing the NFC number 1 seed.
Can George Kittle’s 49ers Secure No. 1 NFC?
While most teams are struggling to make it to the playoffs, the 49ers have been dominant. They have won 11 out of 15 games so far, clinched a playoff spot, and currently have the longest winning streak in the NFC.
For a team so strong, this isn’t the end of the road. They can still clinch the number one seed in the NFC. Their opponent in the next game, the Bears, are eyeing the same position because they’re also 11-4 so far.
Whichever team loses the game on Sunday will be out of this race. The only competition left would be the Seattle Seahawks with a 12-3 record. The Seahawks will play the Panthers this Sunday, and if they lose, that’ll open the window for the 49ers to clinch the number one seed in Week 18.
