The San Francisco 49ers just lost their star player in Fred Warner, who faced a season-ending injury during Sunday’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he dislocated and broke his ankle.
While not being able to play for the rest of the season comes as heartbreaking news for the linebacker, his wife, Sydney Warner, shared a heartwarming clip of the couple celebrating a joyous moment together.
Fred and Sydney captured themselves for the fans as they prepared to find out the gender of their upcoming baby.
In the video, the couple is seen setting up a couple of white cupcakes with a color hidden inside them, blue indicating a boy and pink indicating a girl.
At the start of the video, Fred suggests that they say their suggestions out loud before they start. His wife Sydney, proceeds to ask their toddler son whether he thinks it’s a baby brother or a baby sister, and playfully suggests he say “i dont know!.”
Sydney then shows nervousness before guessing the gender of the baby and asks Fred to keep his hand on her chest to feel her fastened heartbeats.
Fred then reveals his guess and said, “I’m gonna say a girl,” followed by Sydney saying, “I’m gonna say it’s boy.”
The couple then bit into their cupcakes and celebrated with smiles and screams as they saw a pink colour inside the cupcake, followed by a “you see it here folks” by the 49ers LB.
Sydney captioned the post, “Life knew we were gonna need a little extra sunshine this year 🤍 let’s hope Beau warms up to the idea soon enough 🤪 sweet days are ahead.”

Fred Warner’s Wife Sydney Shares Surgery Updates on Ig Following Season-Ending Setback
4-time All-Pro Linebacker, Fred Warner, broke his ankle during Sunday’s game as some players fell on him during the late first quarter of the game, leading to a confirmation by head coach Kyle Shanahan about his surgery.
Fred’s wife, Sydney, gave fans an insight into his journey as he shared a few snippets from the time.

The next few pictures were from the hospital bed as he put up a smile after his surgery.
