“Fire McDaniels and Bench Tua”: Dolphins Fans Lash Out as Miami Reportedly Makes Major Decision on 3rd Year Head Coach

The Miami Dolphins’ continued their losing ways on Sunday, as they were dominated by the also-struggling Cleveland Browns 31-6. The Dolphins’ offense struggled in Cleveland, while the Browns improved to 2-6 in the battle between two of the worst teams in the NFL. Now, there are rumors that head coach Mike McDaniel might get fired, but NFL insider Mike Rapaport noted that there are still no moves so far in the Dolphins camp.

With the Dolphins losing a game against a team that was supposed to be struggling this season, the teams fans were not happy. This led to calls to have head coach Mike McDaniel be fired and other moves to stop the bleeding.

“It’s time to fire mccdaniels and bench tua. Complete rebuild,” one fan said.

“Dolphins are trying to lock up a top-2 draft pick. This helps.,” another fan added.

“It’s actually a smart move to keep McDaniel. He made Tua somewhat relevant when he was absolutely terrible. They’re tanking to try and get a top QB this draft, and I’m willing to bet McDaniel can develop a QB as long as they have a working brain (unlike Tua),” said another person.

“Ross finally has the HC to lose every game for that #1 pick he so coverted in 2019. And he doesn’t have to provide an incentive (aka a bribe) this time around. Why ruin it? Dolphins and Ross will be in the headlines till April. Let’s go!” noted one X user.

“Been a Tua guy, but he’s clearly regressed to point of being unplayable. Give Mike the rest of the season with Ewers and see how it plays out.,” admitted a Tua fan.

“In all seriousness, this isn’t on McDaniel. Tua being a terrible QB doesn’t help. McDaniel does need to be a better leader though. Being chill and lax is fine when the team is winning but gotta be better when they are losing,” one person pointed out.

Insider Gives Update on the Mike McDaniel Situation With the Miami Dolphins

As buzz around the Dolphins possibly firing Mike McDaniel after losing to the Cleveland Browns, ESPN’s Adam Schefter gave an update of the situation regarding the Miami head coach’s job security during Monday’s episode of “SportsCenter.”

“I can tell you that the organization had been planning, and I emphasize the word planning, not to make any changes and didn’t want to do anything. Now, we’ll see whether they stick to that or whether one of the worst losses in franchise history, and I think I can call it that safely, would change their plans,” he said.

The Dolphins now have a 1-6 record, with their only win coming against the still-winless New York Jets at home. This loss to the Cleveland Browns cemented the Dolphins as one of the worst teams in the league so far this season.
