As with each week, there are intriguing fantasy football matchups with many new risers and some other players whose value continues to drop.
This week, there are a number of names to add on the waiver wire, and also some players you should think about trading. Just like any week, any player has the ability to make some noise or have an underperforming day.
Let’s take a look at some of the waiver wire targets and players you ought to sell/buy in fantasy this week:
Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Targets
Troy Franklin
Troy Franklin is poised to have his breakout game. Franklin has 21 catches for 231 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown this season. Against a winless Jets team, Franklin could have a big game in London.
Mason Taylor
The New York Jets don’t have much to root for this season, but rookie tight end Mason Taylor has been something positive for them this season. He’s sixth in tight end target share and has had 11+ fantasy points in each of the last two games.
Fantasy Football Week 6 Buy Low Candidates
Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry fantasy owners may be getting frustrated with his lack of production. They also might be losing faith in his productivity with the injuries the team has been suffering all over. Henry still has the potential to have monster breakout games, and you might be able to get him for a good deal with someone looking to move on from him.
Tetairoa McMillan
Tetairoa McMillan leads the Carolina Panthers in receptions, targets, and receiving yards. However, it’s been five games and he hasn’t scored yet. Frustrated fantasy owners could look to move him, and if they do, he would be a solid buy right now before he explodes and shows his first-round talent.
Darren Waller
Buy Darren Waller now if you can. In his two games played this season with the Miami Dolphins, he’s finished twice in the top six fantasy points for tight ends. Waller has three receiving touchdowns on eight catches for 105 yards.
Fantasy Football Week 6 Sell High Candidates
Rico Dowdle
Rico Dowdle is one of the most intriguing players in the NFL right now. He had a career game this past Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, rushing for 206 yards and a touchdown. With Chubba Hubbard day-to-day, Dowdle has perhaps the most trade value in quite some time, and owners could get fair trade value in return for him.
Geno Smith
The Geno Smith experience in Las Vegas has not been good. Through five games, he has 1,176 passing yards and just six touchdowns to nine interceptions. He’s one game away from losing his trade value even more in fantasy, so if owners can get something for him, they might as well trade him now to get the most value out of him.
