The Baltimore Ravens-New England Patriots game at the M&T Bank Stadium helped the Patriots secure a playoff spot with a 28-24 win. Before kickoff, the night almost took a dangerous turn because of stray fireworks.
Staff members on the field barely avoid a major mishap when a firework landed on the field. As per the reports, there were people standing very close to the spot where the firework landed. With a little bit of luck, they avoided getting injured.
A video of the same was posted by Bleacher Report on X. The video taken from the stands shows the firework launching toward the field and landing near groups of people, likely staff members, standing on the field.
Fans trolled the Ravens for poor production and management, especially with something that could be dangerous.
“Fire work operator has better aim than Lamar,” a fan wrote.

“That firework almost turned pregame entertainment into a workplace safety seminar real quick,” a fan wrote.
“It’s a stark reminder that even controlled celebrations carry uncontrolled risks, demanding the highest vigilance to protect everyone on the field,” a fan wrote.
“not even Final Destination came up with this..” a fan wrote.
“That could have turned a celebration into a disaster real fast. Safety first, always,” a fan wrote.
“It’s fortunate that no one was injured; safety should always come first, especially during events,” a fan wrote.
Many fans pushed back against the idea of making every game into a spectacle using fireworks. While it does make the experience a lot better, there’s an element of risk attached to it. Fortunately, no one got hurt this time, but operators should be more careful moving forward.
The Ravens Released a Statement
The franchise issued a statement after the incident. They reiterated their stance that the safety of people at the stadium is their topmost priority. The Ravens said that it was due to a “mechanical malfunction” during the pregame pyrotechnic show.
The franchise noted that there were no injuries reported.
“We are coordinating with our pyrotechnic vendor to fully understand what occurred and to ensure it does not happen again,” the Ravens said.
The Ravens are reviewing the incident to figure out what caused the rocket’s red glare go off target. The franchise is treating this mishap seriously, and once they determine what caused it, they will be working to fix it properly.
