Golden State Warriors Draymond Green publicly called out Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for not having the ability to deliver a championship. He had quite the choice of words, calling Prescott “a bum.”
Recently, Green has walked back on his words but not in the most convincing manner. He apologized for calling Prescott “bum” but mentioned that he still meant what he said but maybe not with the best words.
“Since I said publicly that he’s a bum, I do want to publicly say I apologize,” Green said. “Just as a fellow athlete, I think I’d be pissed off if I looked up and another athlete was saying, ‘Draymond is a bum.’ I’d be pissed. So I’m man enough to say when I’m wrong. I was definitely wrong on that. I didn’t think it would get picked up the way that it got picked up.”
“But in saying, my feelings don’t change… I still think when it gets to the moment, I don’t think he can deliver,” Green added. “But I do apologise for the way I categorised him as a bum. He’s definitely not a bum.”

Fans called out Green for the way he apologized.
“Draymond has the self control of a teenage boy going through puberty. Most humans his age are able to stop, think about what they want to say, and then say it. Draymond can’t stop himself from saying the 1st thing that pops up in his head. He has no self control,” one fan commented.
“What was the point of the apology 🤣” one fan wrote.
“… anytime Draymond apologizes someone will most definitely get kicked in the chest or stepped in the balls to offset it. Someone must have got in his ear. I’m glad that he mostly stands by his statement for the big games,” another fan reacted.
“News flash Dak Prescott couldn’t give a f*ck about what Draymond Green has to say about him! He didn’t even acknowledge his comment and he apologized 2 days later! Dray folded already and Dak aint even acknowledge him😭😭” one fan wrote.
“Apology Man is already taken by Ryan Clark,” one fan said. “So Draymond Green is Captain Apology. Definition: you say outlandish things knowing that you can just apologize later and likely be forgiven.”
“Ignoring the fact that 2 players fumbling killed Dallas chance of coming back, not a bad play by Dak. Funny thing is had Dallas won the game this past Sunday nobody would consider it a big moment. They lost ? Oh, it was a big game then,” one fan posted.
What Did Draymond Green Say About Dak Prescott Previously?
During a recent episode of his podcast “Why is Draymond Green Talking About Football?” with Jordan Schultz, the Warriors forward made several concerning comments regarding Dak Prescott.
“He’s getting numbers, and they stink. Dak’s a bum. They’ll never win with Dak,” said Green. “I won four championships. So you gotta understand when I say bum, I’m not saying Dak Prescott isn’t a good NFL quarterback. Of course, he’s a good NFL quarterback. But I’m saying, when the money’s on the line, when it’s for all the marbles, who are you? He’s a bum.”
Green has no confidence on Prescott, calling out the quarterback for the numerous times he have failed in the playoffs despite having one of the best teams in the NFL.
However, Prescott has not shared any comments regarding the Warriors forward’s remarks.
