Tua Tagovailoa has been making the headlines for not-so-great reasons this year. He was first scrutinized for throwing his teammates under the bus after a tough loss, and now he is drawing flak from the fans over his unimpressive performance.
Despite the Dolphins’ grabbing a massive lead during their week 10 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, fans were not exactly happy with a few of the ex-Alabama star’s moves.
“Can they please bench Tua.” one fan demanded.
“Tua Tagovailoa with a TERRIBLE INT to start the game. The Dolphins need to bench him ASAP.” another fan added.
“There’s no reason that Tua should take another snap as a Miami dolphin this season imo. Zero. He’s fucking garbage and he deserves to sit on the fucking bench.” another fan expressed their frustration over Dolphins quarterback’s disappointing performance during the Bills showdown in week 10.
“Bench TUA – now. Send a message that level of play is not acceptable and will no longer be tolerated. #tua #interception #unacceptable #dolphins.” another fan commented.
“TUA has the be a bottom 3 QB in the league lmaoo holy hell. Firing McDaniels won’t help if that dude continues to stink.” another fan took a shot at the Dolphins quarterback.
“Get Tua Tagovailoa off my football team. His 12th INT of the season. More to come..” another fan added.
The Dolphins ended the 2024 NFL season with an overall record of 8-9 while also missing the playoffs as Tagovailoa had to sit out of six games because of his injury, which included a concussion.
Cam Newton Takes a Shot at Tua Tagovailoa With Blunt Statement
The Dolphins quarterback seemingly took a shot at Cam Newton and the ESPN team on September 25th after starting the season with a 0-3 record.
During a press conference, Tagovailoa took a jab at Newton and said that it’s easier to get clicks and talk about football than actually play quarterback.
Tua Tagovailoa on criticism from Cam Newton:
“I want to see anybody on the streets come play QB. … It’s easier to be able to hold a clicker and talk about it.” pic.twitter.com/cgF3Yotpi6

Reacting to this statement during a segment on First Take the following day saying that he stands on what he said, which is based on what they have seen from Tagovailoa within the last 12 months.
“When I see the situation that is taking place in Miami, it’s more Love Island drama than football. I wouldn’t say it’s all on Tua, but it is a main ingredient. I just know what he’s capable of. There’s time where we’ve seen Tua Tagovailoa play football and it was a high level. You don’t make $53 million by just being a random on the street.”
The Dolphins will take the Washington Commanders in week 11.
