The Philadelphia Eagles dropped a huge announcement on Tuesday morning that nobody saw coming. Brandon Graham announced his surprise return from retirement, coming back to feature for the Eagles for the remainder of the season.
At 37 years old, Graham’s decision to end his brief retirement and suit up for a 16th NFL season has ignited a lot of reactions from fans on X.
“So stupid. Dude had the storybook ending and now is going to ruin it with 10-15 plays of non-impactful football for a horrible DLine”, stated a fan.

The 2x Super Bowl champion himself broke the news on his podcast, Brandon Graham Unblocked, as he returns to the Eagles, who currently sit at a 5-2 record. This announcement could very well be a result of the Eagles’ injury-ridden roster.
Graham Reverses Retirement Amidst Eagles’ Injury Concerns
Za’Darius Smith’s shocking decision to walk away from football last week left the Eagles scrambling for an apt replacement. Also, injuries to Nolan Smith and Azeez Ojulari didn’t help their cause, as the Eagles had no choice but to call in Graham in this dire situation.
Meanwhile, Graham has a record of 76.5 career sacks, having played 206 regular-season games, and it would be interesting to see if he’s able to maintain the same level of efficiency and longevity for the remainder of the season.
