‘Giselle never baked for us’: Fans React Drake Maye Gloats About Wife Ann Michael’s ‘Bakemas’ for Patriots

Drake Maye has settled into New England in a way few young quarterbacks ever do. His play has lifted the Patriots back into relevance, and his personality has connected with the region in a way that feels effortless.

A big part of that connection comes from the presence of his wife, Ann Michael. Her warmth, her online baking series, and her constant support have turned the couple into one of the most adored pairs in the NFL.

Fans treat them like they’ve been part of the community for years, often calling Michael the first lady of New England. It’s a level of adoration that’s rare for a young QB and his newly married partner.

So, when Maye was asked about her recent run of viral baking videos, he leaned right into it. He talked about her holiday “Bakemas” series, her growing popularity, and how much he enjoys bringing her creations into the facility.

“It’s been awesome. [She’s] in her little journey doing ‘Bakemas’ right now. I get to do the good part of trying all her stuff she bakes. I try to bring some leftovers into the building,” he said.

That small burst of pride was enough to spark waves of reactions from Patriots fans online. Some saw it as a heartwarming moment. Others ran with it in playful ways.

“Giselle never baked for us,” a fan wrote.

“They’re so flippin’ cute together. They’re like a little anachronism of sweethearts in the 50s,” a fan wrote.

“Damn Drake. He makes it so hard to dislike the Patriots…,” a fan wrote.

“Her baking videos are captivating.  Im not going to lie,” a fan wrote.

“So happy to have them in New England!” a fan wrote.

“As the common folk up here like to say ‘Queen of the North’,” a fan wrote.

He even joked that people still struggle with her double first name and that he hopes they get it right soon. More than anything, he made it clear how much she has helped him settle into life in Foxborough and how much of a star she has become in her own right.

    Drake Maye MVP Odds

Maye’s off-field popularity is fun, but the real force behind his rising profile is what he’s doing on the field. His numbers have pushed him to the top of the MVP race, and BetMGM lists him as the favorite at -115.

That puts him ahead of Matthew Stafford at +105, Jordan Love at +1300, Josh Allen at +3000, and Dak Prescott at +5000. More than hype, the gap reflects production. Maye has thrown for more than 3,400 yards, completed over 71 percent of his passes, and delivered 23 touchdowns with only six interceptions.

Most importantly, he has done it while guiding the Patriots to one of the best records in the league. That combination of numbers, wins, and late-game command is exactly what pushes a quarterback to the front of the MVP conversation.
