The last weeks of the fantasy football regular season are here. For Drake London owners, things couldn’t have gotten much worse. London got hurt again in the Falcons’ loss to the Panthers. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he has suffered a PCL sprain. It looks like he will only miss one week. These are 5 potential replacements that owners should be looking at for Week 12.
Alec Pierce, Colts
Pierce seems to be making a weekly appearance in these waiver wire pickups, and for good reason. He scored over 35 points if you add up his last two chances to play. The Colts take on the Chiefs this week, so the matchup might be a bit tougher. Although Pierce has been targeted a decent amount, and should get some opportunities. For one week, why not stay with the WR that has already been hot?
Jayden Higgins, Texans
Higgins has taken over as the second receiver behind Nico Collins for the Houston Texans. The young receiver has started to get consignment targets, and not to mention, his quarterback isn’t even back yet. C.J. Eventually getting back in the lineup should only help Higgins’s production, making him a great target to even keep after this week.
Michael Wilson, Cardinals
The good news for Wilson just seems to be stacking up. This week, he had 33.5 points against a decent 49ers defense. Marvin Harrison didn’t play this week and isn’t supposed to play next week either. Therefore, targets are up for Wilson. Last but not least, the Cardinals get a favorable matchup against the Jaguars. Wilson could be the perfect one-week add and start.
Isaiah Hodgins, Giants
The Giants were able to find some success in Hodgins, who was filling in for an injured Darius Slayton. Hodgins looks like he knows how to be a threat on a Giants team that clearly can go either direction. The only risk here seems to be whoever is going to start at quarterback. If Slayton stays out, Hodgins could be a decent option for owners looking for a short-term rental.
Christian Watson, Packers
The numbers are hard to ignore for Watson. He has had big number games, but almost every single one is reliant on touchdowns. The Packers are in one of the situations where we don’t really know which direction they are about to go in. They are able to win close games and at the same time lose the same type of games. The offense also seems run-heavy. If they potentially shift over to more throwing, Watson should be the guy to target. Since he’s hot, London owners can use him for a short rental solution.
Bottom Line
Staying active on the waiver wires is one of the biggest factors to help win leagues. If London is on your fantasy team, hopefully, there is some depth on your team to be able to replace him for a week. If there isn’t, the five options above should be able to get you through a week, maybe more, depending on how London progresses.
