“There Will Be Consequences”: Deion Sanders Warns Of Strict Repercussions As Buffs Gear Up For Utah Clash

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is upset with some of his players after the bye week. After defeating Iowa State, the Buffaloes players enjoyed the bye week and it seems some of the guys hit the nerve of Hall of Famer.

On Friday, while talking to Mark Johnson, Sanders warns about the strict measures he will be taking against the guys who didn’t make it back to Boulder by Sunday.

“And you got to get back on Sunday. A couple guys didn’t make it. There will be some consequences. You will see those consequences. You will say, ‘I wonder why?’ That’s why,” Sanders said.

The Buffaloes are preparing for the clash against Utah Utes. The team is off to a worrisome 3-4 start and they still need three more wins to become bowl eligible.

Deion Sanders Grateful For Sellout Crowd at Folsom Field

The Buffaloes have not given a lot of reasons for fans to keep turning up for games but it’s the popularity of Deion Sanders that still fills the seats at Folsom Field. When Colorado played Iowa State last week, there was a huge turnout, and the former Super Bowl champion was grateful for the support.

“Thank God for that sellout crowd,” Sanders said. “It’s one of the most beautiful things you’ll ever see—looking behind our bench and across the field to see over 50,000 radically passionate fans. I love these kids and these adults, and everybody in this fan base to life.”

Sanders was also happy with the team’s 24-17 win which will keep them in contention for the season ending bowl game.

“It’s very important. It’s kind of vital,” Sanders said. “Your season could go this way or that way, and the most frustrating part about it is that we’re good. And I know this sounds crazy, especially when you say the record aloud, but we’re good. We haven’t really gotten our b**ts kicked.”

This victory marked Sanders’ first win over an AP Top-25 team since 2023 and Colorado’s first home win versus a ranked opponent since 2019.
