Deion Sanders Jr. took to his Instagram story ahead of the Browns-Dolphins matchup, offering in-person weather report, a real-time account of Cleveland’s weather ahead of the week 7 matchup.
“I might have to go back to the old iPhone days,” he shared while filming from the sidelines.
“It’s raining hard in the desert. But you know, if I shoot with the iPhone, the video is going to be way better. Way better,” he further elaborated.
The Sanders family connection to the Browns runs deep, as Deion Jr’s brother, Shedeur, is the No. 2 quarterback just behind Dillon Gabriel on the Browns depth chart, a promotion after veteran Joe Flacco’s trade to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Meanwhile, Deion Jr.’s social media presence has become a window into the daily realities surrounding the NFL and college football as he runs a media company called Well Off Media. He shares the behind-the-scenes and unseen and raw moments pertaining to the Sanders family and football there in general.
The timing of this post comes mere hours before kick-off at Huntington Bank Field as both the Browns and Dolphins have a 1-5 record so far this season. It’ll be interesting to see which between the two teams change the win tally to 2 by the end of today’s fixture.
Rookie Quinn Ewers Steps In As Miami’s Backup Quarterback
The Cleveland Browns, on the flip side, would like to alter the trajectory of their season following a humiliating 23-9 loss to Pittsburgh last week, and they need a victory now. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is managing a roster that has seen both injuries and inconsistency.
Meanwhile, a positive for the Browns is that running back Quinshon Judkins has 383 rushing performance yards through six games and he could very well be a factor against Miami today. The issue for Miami is that they rank dead last in rushing defense this season, so it should be interesting to see how it all pans out with the rain this afternoon.
The Dolphins also have their own issues heading into this matchup. Miami has scored an average pf 22.3 points a game this season while giving up an average of 29 points. Even more interesting, Miami has elevated rookie Quinn Ewers to back-up quarterback for Zach Wilson. This could potentially turn out to be a fascinating decision that could provide some life to their sorry season.
