Deion Sanders’ ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, was present at Huntington Bank Field to unexpectedly witness Shedeur Sanders make his NFL debut in their Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Sanders only got the opportunity to get on the field after starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion.
Now days after his NFL debut, which resulted in the 23-16 loss for the Cleveland Browns, Pilar shared the secret on why he was there at the stadium in the first place.
“So I’m not just a regular mom, I’m a hot mom,” Pilar said while pointing to different parts of her jacket filled with lights of Browns colors.

As for the game is concerned, Shedeur Sanders failed to impress. He entered the game with the Browns holding a 16-10 lead, but he struggled massively during his time out in the NFL field. He completed just 4 of 16 passes for just over 45 yards, while throwing one interception and losing a fumble. As a result, the Browns ended up losing the game.
Shedeur had to wait several weeks before he could make his debut. He was picked in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft even though he was expected to go in the first round after a solid season with Coach Prime’s Colorado Buffaloes.
Pilar Sanders Shares His Feelings On Shedeur Sanders’ Failed NFL Debut
Being a mother, Pilar Sanders made sure to launch back at critics for taking a jibe at Shedeur Sanders over his lackluster outing when finally given a chance. Pilar uploaded a video from the stadium after the game, citing the smaller number of first-round reps given to Sanders throughout the season during training camps.
“Do your thang! Work with what you’ve got!” she wrote on Instagram. “NFL DEBUT! Never any first round reps – Never heard of 😂🤣 this is wild to say the least… Do what you gotta do, baby.”
This is in line with reports from Josina Anderson as well, who confirmed that the Colorado product indeed hasn’t received many first-round reps by head coach Kevin Stefanski. As such, Sanders can hardly be blamed if he hasn’t played enough with the first teams in practice.
