The whole world was shocked when political analyst and podcaster Charlie Kirk was killed at an event in early September. The aftermath of the event has been divisive, with the reactions from people on both sides of the political aisle. Despite that, there have been many non-political organizations to pay tribute to Kirk.
On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns hosted the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the NFL season. Before the start of the game, the Browns paid tribute to Kirk with a heartfelt gesture on the big screen in the stadium. Insider Mary Kay Cabot tweeted out a video of it.

The Cleveland Browns Were Not First NFL Team To Pay Tribute to Charlie Kirk
The Cleveland Browns’ tribute to Charlie Kirk meant a lot to people who were mentally and emotionally impacted by his death. However, they were not the first team to pay tribute to him. Notably, he was honored with a 20 to 30-second video before the game between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins on Thursday.

The Bills were the 10th team to honor Kirk in some manner. They joined the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals. All those teams had tributes in Week 2 shortly following Kirk’s death.
The tributes to Kirk have caused some controversy in the NFL fanbase. The nature of a political figure like Kirk’s death was bound to cause a bit of controversy. Not everyone agreed with his opinions, but many NFL teams have decided to honor him after his tragic passing.
