Dave Portnoy Boldly Demands ‘Prison For Pete Carroll’ Over Shady Sequence During Raiders-Broncos Matchup

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is known for his controversial takes, and he had another one on Sunday as the Las Vegas Raiders took on the Denver Broncos. In one shady sequence where the referees called a delay of game on a play, Portnoy was not having it.

The renowned pizza reviewer blasted Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and the referee for that play, as a Broncos defender was called for delaying the game when Portnoy believes he really did not do anything. Portnoy also noted that the game should have ended right there and that the call should not have been made.

“This is honestly prison. I’ve never seen a shadier sequence in my life. Prison for Pete Carroll and that ref,” said Dave Portnoy.

In the video, Portnoy called for the NFL to investigate the segment before calling Pete Carroll a “piece of sh*t” and that he wanted to punch the Raiders coach in the face if he saw him.

Fans Poke Fun At Dave Portnoy Over His Rant About The Raiders-Broncos Game

Portnoy’s rant on X did get some pushback from fans, many of whom pointed out that the Barstool Sports founder was just salty because he lost a bet. Others also noted that Portnoy was just overreacting in that sequence.

“First of all, Pete Carroll would beat your ass! Second of all the only person you should be mad at is number 22 on the Broncos who ripped the ball out of the receivers hands for no reason whatsoever which created the delay a game. You’ve been gambling long enough to know who’s at fault here,” said one fan.

“This video is brought to you by gambling responsibly,” joked another.

“Degenerate loses a bet and calls for the imprisonment and murder of Pete Carroll and the ref,” one person added.

“You are mentally Ill if you lose money on gambling and then think the coaches of the teams you gambled against should “go to jail” for secretly cheating to make you lose.” one commenter said.

“disagree feel like that’s understandable delay of game call and at that point why not kick a fg,” disagreed one fan.

“Gonna go out on a limb and guess you had Broncos,” noted a commenter.

The Broncos ultimately won that game, 24-17, but it showed some holes in the team’s defense, as the Raiders went on to score 10 points in the closing quarter, while Denver only scored three. The Broncos improve to 11-2, while the Raiders fall to 2-11.
