Will D’Andre Swift Play This Week? What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Bears RB Status

The Chicago Bears have had one of the best running attacks this season with the duo of veteran running back D’Andre Swift and rookie back Kyle Monangai.

Swift, who is the the team’s feature back, has rushed for 935 yards and seven rushing touchdowns and is on pace to set new career-highs in those categories. Monangai, a seventh-round pick from this year’s draft, has rushed for 681 yards and five touchdowns on the season.

Together, they have rushed for a combined 1,616 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, proving to be one of the best one-two punches in the league this year.

    What Happened to D’Andre Swift?

As the Chicago Bears prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers this Saturday night, Swift popped up on the team’s injury report. Swift did not practice on Tuesday but was active for the team’s practices on Wednesday and Thursday in limited capacities. He’s reportedly dealing with a groin injury.

Is D’Andre Swift Playing Week 16?

As of right now, it sounds like there’s a 50-50 chance that D’Andre Swift plays this Saturday. He’s been limited in practice this week and the Bears listed hi as questionable on their Thursday updated injury report.

Should I Start D’Andre Swift or Breece Hall In Week 16?

If you have to pick between starting D’Andre Swift or Breece Hall this week, go with Hall.

Hall’s status for his Sunday game isn’t up in the air like Swift. There’s also a chance that the Bears wait until 90 minutes before kickoff to rule out Swift. In this case, you don’t want to have hi accidentally in your lineup for him to be inactive.

Even if Swift is good to go for Saturday, it sounds like Monangai will be the team’s lead back as Swift could be playing not 100%.

Hall has had a solid season in a season full of struggle for the Jets, rushing for 900 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
