Cowboys vs. Commanders Fantasy Football Preview: Week 17 Start ’Em, Sit ’Em Picks

The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders are set to clash on Christmas in front of the entire country. The contest will offer some players plenty of upside, but there are some landmines as well. With championship week upon us, the contest could have a season-changing game-winner hiding in the mist.

To help differentiate between the two, College Sports Network has put together a fantasy football guide to the contest. Take a look.

Cowboys vs. Commanders Fantasy Football Week 17 Start ‘Em Picks

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Terry McLaurin, and Deebo Samuel are all in for a potential good game, facing a Dallas Cowboys defense that has struggled all season long. While Rodriguez and Jacory Croskey-Merritt have tussled for carries in recent weeks, Rodriguez has won the starting job.

As for the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott won’t be afraid to pour it on during another sacred American holiday. That’s good news for CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Javonte Williams, if he can be healthy enough to get on the field, should be in line for a good game as well. According to the official Cowboys injury report, Williams has practiced twice in a limited capacity this week, leaving the door open to play.

    Start ’em:

    • Chris Rodriguez Jr.
    • Terry McLaurin
    • Deebo Samuel
    • Dak Prescott
    • Javonte Williams
    • CeeDee Lamb
    • George Pickens

Cowboys vs. Commanders Fantasy Football Week 17 Sit ‘Em Picks

Marcus Mariota has been ruled out, so be sure to bench or drop him if you have not done so already. With Washington turning to its third-string quarterback, you should turn elsewhere, even with a quality matchup on tap.

Treylon Burks won’t likely be used much with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens likely to receive many of the targets. Jake Ferguson has been a top 10 tight end this season, but he has been a casualty of too many mouths to feed in recent weeks. Additionally, with Ryan Flournoy battling injury and likely to be overshadowed if he does get on the field, avoid him if you can.

    Sit ’em:

    • Marcus Mariota
    • Josh Johnson
    • Treylon Burks
    • John Bates
    • Ryan Flournoy
    • Jake Ferguson
