Despite playing well before getting injured, Joe Burrow has expressed his frustrations with his team, the Cincinnati Bengals, admitting that he is unhappy there. He has not yet requested a trade, but there are now rumors floating that he may soon be looking to be traded, especially as the team has not provided him with the protection that he needs to play optimally.
During his podcast known as “The Herd,” Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd talked about the Joe Burrow situation over at Cincinnati and blasted the team for failing to provide him a decent offensive line that could protect a quarterback of his caliber.
“In the pocket, Joe Burrow is the best quarterback. He’s just brilliant,” Cowherd said. “Last nine starts, he’s 8-1, and we may not be a fan of that roster, but Joe Burrow is not unhappy because the Bengals linebackers can’t tackle in space, one of the reasons he’s unhappy is he has the cheapest owner in the league and one of the smallest, most ordinary front offices.”
“The Bengals pass blocking grades since Joe Burrow started; 27th, 29th, 31st, 22nd, 29th, 27th. He has consistently had the worst offensive lines. When you’re 8-1 in your last nine starts and you’re not having fun, I’d force a trade.”

Cincinnati had been quite generous to Burrow on other things prior to him admitting he was unhappy, as the team locked in on the players he advocated for on offense. He just did not have a sufficient offensive line that could protect him well.
Joe Burrow Teammate Ja’Marr Chase Unaware QB Was Unhappy With Bengals
If there is anybody who knows Joe Burrow the best in the Cincinnati Bengals, it is teammate Ja’Marr Chase, who has been with him for five years with the Bengals and another two at LSU, where they won a national title together. However, it seems that Chase was unaware that his friend and teammate had admitted that he was unhappy, reacting with a “huh?” when reporters told him about it.
Chase questioned reporters if this really happened, only for them to confirm it to him. This soon had Chase say that he has not seen a change in his friend and is often helping him out.
The Bengals will be taking on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and Chase and Burrows are expected to suit up. Whether Burrows will actually request a trade is still speculation.
