The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly growing tired of their superstar quarterback, Lamar Jackson, whose actions might have left the franchise with no choice but to hear trade offers from other teams. This comes while the Ravens find themselves on the edge of playoff elimination, sitting at a 7‑8 record and needing wins in their remaining games to keep postseason hopes alive.
On Wednesday, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd relayed a breaking news from a respected Ravens beat reporter, questioning Jackson’s professionalism.
“Mike Preston, a respected long-term beat reporter who covers the Ravens, breaks the story today that Lamar has fallen asleep in meetings, that, you know, he’s playing video games late into the night” Cowherd said. “When he does show up to mandatory camp, he shows up for a day.”
With Jackson turning 29 next year, Cowherd explained why the Ravens would like to hear trade ideas involving Jackson, even though he’s still one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
“I think Lamar is a much better all-time quarterback because I think he’s more consistent,” Cowherd said. “I think he’s more… I just think Lamar is really an all-time unique talent, but hyper-athletic athletes in any sport age faster than a guy like Philip Rivers, who can do it from the pocket, right? So I’ve always said, Steph Curry will be able to shoot threes until he’s 50. You know, the guys with 47-inch vertical jumps, they can age very, very quickly. So it’s a very concerning story.”
He also added which two teams will drop a phone call to have Jackson.
“I could absolutely see them taking a phone call from the Raiders or the Dolphins. Absolutely,” Cowherd added.

Colin Cowherd Explains Why Raiders and Dolphins Would Like To Trade For Lamar Jackson
Adding more to his thoughts, Colin Cowherd explained why the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins will be interested in a quarterback of Lamar Jackson’s caliber. Cowherd explained that Jackson is among the best and most untouchable quarterbacks in the league and the prospect of having him can take any team to new heights.
“Well, why would the Raiders and Dolphins do that? Have you watched the Raiders play the last five years? Have you watched the Dolphins regress at quarterback this year? I’ve always had a rule: there’s about six quarterbacks in the league, and I know I say this too often, I would not even pick up the phone, no matter the offer,” Cowherd said.
“I think Drake Maye has become one of those guys, obviously, like Mahomes, Josh Allen. Then there are another six to eight guys that I’m not going to get on the phone to call people about, but I would take a call if you offered me three first-round picks. Lamar, to me, was always in the first group.”
While there are trade rumors involving Lamar Jackson, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh publicly refuted the idea of a strained relationship.
