Running back Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers have managed to have a strong start to the season despite a slew of injuries. Unlike last season, McCaffrey is not one of those injured players. He is now having another strong season with the 49ers as they compete to get back into the playoffs.
While McCaffrey is preparing for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, his wife, Olivia Culpo, was at a friend’s wedding on Saturday night. She posted a photo on her Instagram story posing in a stunning translucent black dress. She showed her excitement for the wedding with a short message.
“Time to watch my bestie get MARRIED,” Olivia Culpo wrote.

While Olivia Culpo is celebrating the wedding of one of her friends, it was not long ago that she was the bride. The couple got engaged in April 2023 and then married on June 29, 2024. Culpo posted a video from their wedding on her Instagram page.
“Forever yours 6/29/24,” Olivia Culpo wrote.

The couple met on a blind date in 2019 and have been married ever since. Many of McCaffrey’s teammates attended the wedding, including George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk.
The couple is now happily married, but that does not mean they can do everything together. During football season, Christian McCaffrey is not always available to attend events with his wife. Notably, he was not present in the photos Culpo posted on her Instagram from her friend’s wedding.
If this were the offseason, McCaffrey likely would have attended the wedding with his wife. However, his busy NFL schedule forces him to miss many events during the season.
As the biggest star on the 49ers, McCaffrey takes his job seriously, especially with the injuries that have been piling up for the team. Despite those injuries, McCaffrey has been able to help lead the offense and bring the team to a 4-2 record.
McCaffrey is coming off a season where he only played four games because of injuries. This year, he has 108 carries for 336 yards and one TD. His yards per carry have taken a noticeable dip, sitting at 3.1. That is the lowest average in a single season in his career.
