Christian McCaffrey continues to be the driving force behind the San Francisco 49ers’ offense this season. The star running back has once again proven why he’s one of the league’s most dynamic players, helping San Francisco stay competitive in the NFC West.
The 49ers are currently 5-3, looking to build momentum as the season enters its second half. Away from the field, McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, are enjoying family life after welcoming their first child earlier this year.
The couple celebrated their daughter’s very first Halloween, and Culpo shared a series of adorable photos on Instagram. The pictures show their little one dressed up as a tiny crustacean, a charming nod to a family tradition Olivia says she’s continuing.
“Keeping the crustacean tradition alive last night,” she wrote.

It’s a rare glimpse into the personal side of McCaffrey, who usually keeps the spotlight focused on his game. For the 49ers star, this off-field joy comes amid a busy NFL season where his contributions remain vital to San Francisco’s playoff hopes.
Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
McCaffrey was briefly listed on the 49ers’ injury report earlier in the week for rest-related reasons. The designation was “Not Injury Related – Rest,” confirming that he was simply given time off from practice. He later returned as a full participant and is expected to play against the New York Giants in Week 9.
So far this season, McCaffrey has totaled 490 rushing yards on 140 carries and added 516 receiving yards on 53 receptions. McCaffrey delivered one of his most dominant outings of the 2025 season in Week 7, powering the San Francisco 49ers to a crucial 20-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
The star running back racked up 201 scrimmage yards and found the end zone twice on the ground, putting together a complete performance that reminded everyone of his elite all-around ability.
He handled 24 carries for 129 rushing yards, consistently breaking through tackles and moving the chains. In the passing game, he remained just as dangerous, catching seven passes for 72 yards to keep drives alive and give the 49ers valuable versatility.
The outing marked McCaffrey’s highest yardage total since joining San Francisco and was a clear sign that he has fully shaken off the injuries that hampered his previous campaigns.
The 49ers’ success this season continues to hinge on his ability to stay healthy and perform at this level, and his Week 7 explosion served as a strong reminder of just how impactful he can be when firing on all cylinders.
