“Just Go Ahead and Unfollow”: Cameron Skattebo Claps Back at Fans Questioning His WWE Appearance Amid Injury Recovery

New York Giants’ rookie running back Cameron Skattebo recently appeared on a WWE segment alongside comedian Andrew Schulz as they took on WWE star Dominik Mysterio and his team, The Judgement Day, in a fun cameo.

While WWE fans must have enjoyed this surprise crossover, NFL fans did not waste time in trolling Skattebo, referencing his injury on X.

“Didn’t this guy tear his ACL like 3 weeks ago? Hahaha,” stated a fan.

“That dude will be out of the league in three years from injuries. He takes hits on his day off,” said a fan.

“That injury is never healing,” remarked a fan.

“As fake as that crap is, it still seems like an idiotic move for him to get involved after a serious injury,” commented a fan.

“Carter got closer to WWE superstars than any opposing QB all year,” stated another fan.

“I’m sure the giants are thrilled lol dude snapped his ankle like 4 weeks ago,” remarked another fan.

Meanwhile, Skattebo clapped back at his critics, being unapologetic for finding joy during one of the toughest periods of his NFL career.

“If you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on”, Skattebo wrote on X.

” I’m not able to play football and have the fun I’ve been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy”, he elaborated.

The rookie running back concluded his message, urging fans not to bother and talk about him if they have nothing nice to say.

Skattebo suffered a devastating ankle injury on October 26 against the Philadelphia Eagles, after which he was officially placed on injured reserve, marking an end to his 2025 campaign.

Through his first several games, he accumulated 410 rushing yards while also scoring five rushing touchdowns.

Cameron Skattebo’s Father Shares Emotional Message After Seeing Injured Duo

Skattebo and his teammate quarterback Jaxson Dart were recently spotted on the sidelines as the Giants took on the Packers at MetLife Stadium.

This visual of the two injured teammates saw Cameron Skattebo’s father, Leo Skattebo III, post a heartfelt message on X, writing:

“Gametime! Wish these 2 were playing”

Skattebo has been sidelined since Week 8 after suffering a severe injury against the Eagles. He required emergency surgery after dislocating his ankle, fracturing his fibula, and tearing a ligament, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, Dart entered concussion protocol following a hit in the Week 10 matchup with the Bears. He appeared unsteady as he left the field and has yet to be cleared.
