Playing in its regular season finale yesterday, the Tennessee Titans were handed a 41-7 blowout loss, in what’s been a season full of struggles.
To add insult to injury, rookie starting quarterback Cam Ward injured his shoulder on a play where he rushed for a touchdown and did not return back to the game. After the game, it was revealed that Ward suffered a minor sprain to his AC Joint. A day later, the Titans received a good update on the injury learning that Ward wouldn’t need surgery on the injured shoulder.
Ward left the game early in the first quarter after his rushing touchdown gave the Titans a 7-0 lead. It also ended his rookie season as the Titans were already officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Despite Slow Start, Cam Ward Finished His Rookie Campaign Heating Up
Cam Ward started from the very beginning of the season for the Tennessee Titans after being drafted No. 1 overall by Tennessee in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Like most rookies, at any position, there were growing pains for Ward. In his first 11 games of his rookie season, Ward threw for just seven touchdowns and six interceptions. Ward threw an interception in six of those seven games and had four games where he didn’t throw a touchdown pass.
Prior to Sunday’s game against the Jaguars where Ward played for just a few minutes, he threw two touchdown passes in each of the four previous games and and only threw one interceptions. Ward was playing by far the best football of his rookie season down the stretch, which should provide some hope for the Titans moving forward.
On the year, Ward threw for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdown passes, and seven interceptions while completing 59.8 percent of his passes.
As of right now, the Titans currently have the most cap space ($105 million) heading into the offseason and hold the No. four overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
