Cam Newton Comes Clean on Bryce Young Relationship With Clear Warning to Panthers QB

The Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has been compared to Cam Newton several times in the last month. Young is one of the best quarterbacks in the league today, and he has had a good season as well.

The overall team result, however, has been disappointing. The Panthers are 8-7 in the league, still at the top of the NFC South, but they haven’t secured a playoff spot yet. Despite the team’s poor run, Young has been garnering praise for his game.

Newton, who has a good relationship with the quarterback, almost like a mentor, recently spoke on how their relationship has evolved over time. When asked if he still reaches out to Young, Newton went on to explain their dynamic.

“It’s a dynamic where I’m always here,” Newton said. “And coming from a player, I know how I would’ve loved somebody to be for me.”

Newton said that he has seen Young several times, they have exchanged “information”, and they text each other. However, Newton is clear about not reaching out first, and he has a good reason for it.

Considering their similarities, he said that if someone reached out to him first, he wouldn’t have liked it. So, he does the same thing for Young while making it clear that whenever the quarterback needs him, he’s going to be there for him.

Even though Newton maintains distance, he said that if Young reaches out to him and asks him about how to do certain things on the field, he will share all his wisdom. Newton said that he has been Young’s fan from the beginning, and he always challenges him to be himself.

Newton’s mantra is simple: just be yourself on the field, and the fans will love you for it. As for the game and improvements Young can make, he is always going to be there for him.

Can Bryce Young’s Panthers Still Make the Playoffs?

Last week, the Panthers registered a 23-20 win over the Buccaneers. Overall, it didn’t do much for their playoff chances. However, they still have two more games left, and a lot can happen in the next two outings.

It’s not going to be an easy way into the playoffs for the Panthers. They are not only relying on their own games but also have to watch out for the scoreboard for some other key matchups to see if they make the cut.

The Buccaneers are 7-8 right now. They also have two games left, the last one is against the Panthers. If the Buccaneers lose to Miami this Sunday and the Panthers register a win over the Seahawks, they will take a two-game lead and clinch the division and a spot in the playoffs.
