The New York Giants got their first win of the year over the weekend, as Jaxson Dart also made his first career start. However, not everything was good news for them as they lost one of their best weapons for the rest of the season: Malik Nabers.

The wide receiver suffered a non-contact injury after catching a long ball from Dart in the second quarter. After catching the ball, he grabbed his right knee, and the medical team decided to cart him off the field.
Immediately, there was a worry that he had torn his right ACL. He was scheduled to take an MRI on Monday to confirm it, which is exactly what happened with the New York Giants informing that he’s out for the season.
Fans reacted to this, calling out the turf at MetLife Stadium as the culprit behind the injury.

The fans didn’t hold back on their opinions about the turf at MetLife Stadium.

Jaxson Dart leads the New York Giants to their first victory of the season
The game was important for the New York Giants for another, happier reason. After starting their season with three straight defeats, the Giants’ coaching staff decided to bench veteran Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson and give an opportunity to their rookie quarterback, first-rounder Jaxson Dart.
The decision paid off, as Dart led the franchise to its first victory of the season. More importantly, they defeated one of the hottest teams in football: Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers. In a polar opposite start to their season, the Chargers came into MetLife Stadium undefeated after three straight victories.
New York won by the slimmest of margins, with the final score being 21-18. Dart threw for 111 yards, with one touchdown pass and a completion percentage of 65%. Not bad for a first career start. The backfield unit helped the offensive efforts considerably, with 161 rushing yards. 79 of those courtesy of Cameron Skattebo.
