The New York Jets’ record slid to 0-6 after they were defeated by the Denver Broncos on Sunday in London, and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe took a dig at Justin Fields & Co.
The Jets’ offense could register only 82 yards in the 13-11 loss. They were -10 yards in the passing game, while 92 yards rushing. Fields was highly inefficient, going 9-17 for just 45 yards. The game saw the Broncos take down Fields a whopping nine times. As such, Sharpe had every right to take it out on the Jets, as he posted the following message on X:
“This is a new low even 4 the Jets. 82 total yds… 82 F’ing yds in an NFL gm. 2-15 on 3rd dwn and allowed 9 sacks. This is the worst offensive performance I’ve seen in a while. Not sure when, IF* it can be fixed. This was AWFUL. #NFLSunday #BroncosCountry s #BroncosJets.”

On the other end, the Broncos registered 246 total yards, including 168 passing yards. They were 5-15 on third down efficiency and only allowed one sack.
Throughout the season, the Jets’ new head coach, Aaron Glenn, is facing criticism for his offense design, play calling, and in-game adjustments.
Despite Struggling Offense, Jets HC Not Ready To Give Up On Justin Fields
The Jets’ offense under Justin Fields is repeating the same story again and again. They keep getting worse, as on Sunday, Fields’ longest completion was just 11 yards.
This is in line with his performance in 2025, where in six games the quarterback has accumulated 754 passing yards, averaging just 2.6 yards per attempt, and has thrown four touchdowns with zero interceptions. He is 23rd in the NFL with a 100.1 passer rating. On the ground, he has rushed for 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

After another underwhelming performance vs the Broncos in London, Aaron Glenn was posed the question if he would bench Fields. The response he gave was a question:
“What kind of question is that?”
It seems Glenn’s trust in the quarterback will continue. The Jets are next scheduled to play against the Carolina Panthers, where they’ll hope to register their first win of the season.
