The Minnesota Vikings are in Dublin, Ireland for an international game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, though the team has gotten one massive scare. Offensive tackle Brian O’Neill may have gotten injured after falling down shortly after a successful field goal by teammate Will Reichard.
Trainers reportedly rushed to his aid and looked at him. He has since gotten up and walked to the medical tent, though he did that gingerly. Several captains reportedly came out and kneeled over him after he collapsed. This was first reported by The Athletic’s Minnesota Vikings reporter Alec Lewis.

What Offensive Lineman Brian O’Neill Said About J.J. McCarthy During Preseason?
Ahead of the new season, offensive lineman Brian O’Neill, who serves as the team’s starting left tackle, came in with a ton of hype, with many asking that his contract with the Vikings be extended as his stock continued to rise.
During the pre-season, the OL got to know quarterback J.J. McCarthy even more, and praised his teammates’ energy, saying that he had a lot of “juice” coming into the huddle.
“I would just say his demeanor in the huddle — he was calm, cool, collected, but still had a fire to him that you can tell is the competitive side, and it really came out,” O’Neill said in an interview with Vikings Entertainment Network. “He had some juice in the huddle, and it was good to see him have that against another team rather than ourselves for the first time.”
He added that they will continually work together and make sure they improve on their chemistry and also praised his fellow linemen who are tasked in protecting McCarthy, saying that they are “trending in the right direction.”
