Only days after news broke that Alix Earle and Texans return specialist Braxton Berrios had ended their relationship, a new rumor suddenly exploded online. This time, it involved New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.
A screenshot began circulating on social media that appeared to show Dart messaging Earle asking if she was single. The image spread quickly, but it didn’t take long for Earle to shut it down. She stated that the fake Instagram screenshot was fabricated.
Earle added that nothing like that ever happened and that the supposed message wasn’t even formatted the way it would appear on her story. She addressed the situation on TikTok, stating that the rumor was entirely made up.
“What is this fake photoshopped dm u guys are posting? 1. That never happened. 2. That wouldn’t be on my story,” Earle posted.
The timing of the Dart chatter only amplified attention surrounding Earle and Berrios’ breakup. The pair had been together for over two years, and the split became public shortly after the conclusion of Earle’s run on Dancing With the Stars.
She reached the finale of the competition, but fans noticed that Berrios never appeared at a single taping. That absence sparked speculation about the state of their relationship long before either of them said anything.
When Earle was asked about it on TikTok, she explained that Berrios wasn’t attending because he was busy with football commitments. Even so, the questions didn’t slow down, and within days of the DWTS season wrapping up, rumors of a breakup began circulating, which soon became a reality.
Braxton Berrios Supported Alix Earle During Her DWTS Run
Despite the way everything unfolded at the end, Earle had spoken highly of Berrios earlier in the DWTS season. In an interview with E! News, she described leaning on him throughout the demanding rehearsal schedule.
She talked about how she relied on him when she felt overwhelmed or unsure during the tougher stretches of the competition. FaceTime became their daily check-in, and she said he consistently tried to steady her whenever she doubted herself.
“He’s so supportive,” she said. “I FaceTime him every day and every chance I get. He’s always supportive and I’m there to support him too. We’re both on crazy schedules right now, but it’s been great supporting each other and getting to see each other.”
That context makes the breakup more surprising. From the outside, they appeared to have found a rhythm that worked for their careers and their relationship. But as the season progressed and the absences became more visible, it became clear that something behind the scenes had shifted.
Now, with Berrios moving forward in his NFL season and Earle addressing rumors publicly, the two seem to be closing this chapter.
