It’s Championship week. All of this year’s hard work on your fantasy football team is coming down to the moment. The only question left is whether your team can get one more win to be crowned the champion. Every position is going to contribute to getting your team to the finish line. That includes defense. If your starting defense has a bad matchup for you, that is potential negative points that you do not want. Here are some streaming defenses you can target if this is the week your defense is not in a good spot.
Week 17 Streaming Defenses
New York Giants
The Giants have gained some steam from a fantasy perspective after putting up good numbers last week. They ranked second overall, and this week they take on the Raiders. There are so many things with the Raiders offense that it should be a major concern going into next year for Vegas fans. The Giants should be able to get comfortable in this one.
Tennesee Titans
Although the Saints have gotten some wins lately, they still aren’t completely in sync on offense. Tyler Shough still takes a lot of sacks. Sacks are fantasy points. Therefore, the Titans could be in a position to get some huge points for your team. The Saints also aren’t a high-powered offense, putting the Titans in a position to get double-digit points this week.
New Orleans Saints
This could honestly be a hard find. The Saints’ defense has been awesome lately, and if they are still available in your league, it is definitely a good week to pick them up. Yes, the Titans are playing better than they have, but Cam Ward is a rookie. He still has plenty of room for mistakes, and it could end up scoring your team some points.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This is a bit of a reach, but if you’re in a bad spot, this is the place to go. The Dolphins come into town this week for Tampa. It should be easy to stop Quinn Evers, which is the reason Tampa makes this list, barely.
Bottom Line
This is everything that fantasy managers have been working for all year. The championship game. A win cements your legacy, and a loss, and no one remembers the incredible run that you had. This week, more than ever, make sure that lineups are perfect and that there are no bad matchups against your players. Hopefully, it will be another victory to close out the season. Good luck!
