Quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing adversity for the first time this season. They lost for the first time this season on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. To make matters worse, their star quarterback is now dealing with knee and right bicep injuries. As a result, he was unable to take part in Wednesday’s walkthrough, according to reports from ESPN. However, Mayfield is still expected to play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
What Happened to Baker Mayfield?
Baker Mayfield has been dealing with a right bicep injury since at least last week. He was listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Eagles but ultimately played in the game. This week, he missed practice on Wednesday because of injuries to his right bicep and knee.
Is Baker Mayfield Playing This Week?
While Mayfield has been limited at practice throughout the past two weeks, he is not expected to miss Sunday’s game. According to a report from FOX Sports’ Greg Auman, Mayfield practiced on Thursday. He was a full participant and is expected to play for Tampa Bay against Seattle.
Lots of updates from Bucs practice:

Baker Mayfield Fantasy Outlook
While Baker Mayfield has struggled with injuries this year, they do not appear to have affected his play on the field. Mayfield is still viewed by most as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. He has led several game-winning drives for the Buccaneers to push the team into Super Bowl contention.
However, strong quarterback play is not always reflected in fantasy points. Mayfield is a good fantasy quarterback, but not a great one. According to ESPN’s rankings, Mayfield is the No. 12-ranked quarterback heading into Week 5. As a result, he should be a starting QB in most fantasy leagues, but if he is not available, there will be other options available that can serve as replacements.
Overall, Mayfield’s fantasy outlook for the season is still good. However, now that he is dealing with two injuries, fans will be watching closely this week to see if he looks more impeeded.
