Antonio Brown Drops 4-Word Reaction As DK Metcalf’s Sideline Altercation With Lions Fan Goes Viral

Former NFL star Antonio Brown is known for his controversial takes and clowning on other players, and when Steelers star DK Metcalf had an altercation with a Lions fan, he had some words. Metcalf was seen grabbing onto a fan before seemingly pushing him away, and Brown has a few words to describe that particular incident:

“CTE of the Week,” tweeted Antonio Brown.

As seen in the video, DK Metcalf swung at a fan’s head just before the halftime break and seemingly hit him with a glancing blow. The fan was wearing Lions colors and had a heated exchange with the Steelers wide receiver, with Metcalf’s hands soon turning into a fist before he started swinging.

He had also grabbed the fan by the collar, with some describing the incident as Metcalf crashing out. The Steelers still won that game, 29-24, and the fan was soon ejected over the confrontation. Metcalf, however, continued to play despite the altercation, with the NFL releasing a statement that explained that the league cannot intervene to eject the wide receiver during the game.

“There was no flag on the field, so New York cannot weigh in with regard to a potential disqualification,” the NFL statement read.

Officials reportedly did not see the altercation, though they were notified that the incident took place from the sidelines. The NFL will now review the altercation, with there being possible disciplinary actions against the Steelers wide receiver.

Lions Fan Explains What Really Happened During His Altercation With DK Metcalf

The fan involved in the altercation was identified as Ryan Kennedy, and he spoke with the Detroit Free Press shortly after the game. He explained that he called DK Metcalf by his real name, DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf, and this set the wide receiver off.

“He doesn’t like his government name. I called him that and then he grabbed me and ripped my shirt,” he told the Detroit Free Press. “I’m a little shocked. Like, everyone’s talking to me. I’m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby.”

After the incident, Metcalf returned to the field to play. Many are now debating if he should have been ejected after that altercation.
