Shedeur Sanders has been under the spotlight his whole life, whether it’s the critics like Jason Whitlock, thrashing him over every step he takes, or analysts like Emory Hunt, who overhype the ex-Colorado star to exaggerated extents, that naturally set him up for failure.
During his latest Hunt NFL on CBS appearance, Hunt made a bold comparison between Shedeur Sanders and $50,000,000 worth Joe Burrow, who is leading as Bengals quarterback and is considered among the best ones in the league pre-injury.
He said they both look to share similar skillsets, both positive and negative, which drew various reactions from the fans:
“Elsewhere on twitter I’ve seen him compared to Muhammad Ali and Jesus. So I’d say neither of them.” one fan commented.
“Please make this make sense…. Gabriel’s 1st start vs Vikings 19/33 – 190yds – 2 TD – 0 INT – 2 sacks… “he’s trash, can’t play, career backup.” Sanders 1st start vs Raiders 11/20 – 209yds – 1 TD – 1 INT – 1 sack… “franchise QB, team leader, future HOF’er.” another fan highlighted.
“It’s the Shedeur fans that are setting him up to fail, not anyone in the Browns camp. Utterly delusional expectations.” another fan added.
“The guy has played in 2 games? Let’s let the man breathe and see what he does I don’t particularly care for his personality or the pre draft and draft day antics but he has a personality If he is successful on the field surely someone will then help him with his PR personality.” another fan advised.
“That was always the comparison before they tried to make us believe he was 5th round pick and forget everything else they was saying before the draft.” another fan recalled.
“People like this should never be taken serious about anything they say that’s football related ever again.” another fan expressed frustration.
Who would you compare Shedeur Sanders to? @FBallGameplan compares Shedeur Sanders to Joe Burrow because he believes they both have the “it factor.”

Deion Sanders Opens Up About Experiencing Shedeur Sanders’ Take the Field Against The Raiders
While Coach Prime wasn’t sure he wanted to be there when Shedeur Sanders made his first snap as a starter in his NFL journey, he decided to make a trip to see his son’s special moment.
After the game, Deion made an Instagram post sharing his experience of enjoying the game from the Raiders’ box, even though he was the father of the team from the opposite team.
He wrote that he was thankful for being allowed to sit in the box and that it was special that the team’s owner allowed him to enjoy the show from the opponent’s side, calling the experience “unbelievable.”
