Analyst Goes Scorched Earth On Andrew Barry’s ‘Fireable Offense’ Following Joe Flacco’s Electric Performance vs Steelers

Tony Rizzo on air at the Tony Rizzo Show on ESPN Cleveland this week went on a rant of genuine frustration and disbelief. The Radio host Tony Rizzo reached a breaking point, and he wasn’t holding back after Joe Flacco’s exceptional performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was the very same Joe Flacco the Cleveland Browns had traded away just days earlier to the Cincinnati Bengals for third and fifth-round picks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, respectively.

Rizzo’s on-air monologue called the trade a “fireable offense” and blamed the front office decision-makers, including Browns’ General Manager Andrew Barry.

“How could you do that, Andrew (Barry)? How could you do it? Why on earth did you feel the need to trade this guy to a division opponent for a 5th round draft pick? Fireable offense. That is a fireable offense. I want to know how much longer the owner is going to watch this crap,”  Rizzo ranted in utter frustration.

“Because the fans have had it. We deserve better. You just, you’re worried more about your stadium than you are your football team,”  he further elaborated.

Rizzo further expressed intense frustration toward Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and the football franchise’s management, accusing him of allowing incompetence within the team, and pointing out that the team has the worst offense in the league. Tony also harshly criticized the general manager, claiming he completely mishandled the quarterback situation in an unprecedented way, calling the situation a complete joke.

Flacco Shines Against The Steelers Amidst Dream Run With Bengals

Flacco’s stint in Cincinnati has been nothing short of amazing. The veteran quarterback has completed a total of 559 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions in the course of this season.

Flacco also managed maintained an extremely strong performance against the Steelers, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns to guide his team through the game-winning drive.

He has now completed back-to-back games with 250+ passing yards with multiple touchdown passes. Meanwhile, back in Cleveland, the picture is fairly bleak, with the Browns at 1-5 and and abysmal average 13.7 points per game in one of the worst records amongst NFL teams this season.
