The Detroit Lions lost its Thanksgiving Day game against its rival Green Bay Packers.
The Lions suffered a 31-34 loss, while dropping to 7-5 on the season while the Packers improved to 8-3-1 and staying alive in the divisional race with the Chicago Bears. To add insult to injury, the Lions lost wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to an injury.
What Happened to Amon-Ra St. Brown?
During the first quarter of last Thursday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, Amon-Ra St. Brown appeared to have his ankle rolled up. He would eventually leave the game and would not return.
Tests later revealed that the Lions’ star wide out suffered a low ankle sprain.
Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is believed to have suffered a low ankle sprain Sunday, sources say, and while he continues to be evaluated, it’s good news so far on his chances for returning sooner than later.

Is Amon-Ra St. Brown Playing Week 14?
Dan Campbell said Amon-Ra St. Brown’s injury isn’t long-term, but could miss 1-2 weeks. With the Lions playing on a week turnaround, after playing on Thanksgiving Day and facing the Dallas Cowboys this Thursday night, this could suggest that St. Brown will be inactive.
St. Brown was also not seen at the team’s Monday practice, a sign that indicates he might be out this week.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Fantasy Outlook
When healthy and active, Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL. He ranks top 10 in all three major categories of receptions (75), receiving yards (884), and receiving touchdowns (9.) He’s had two multi-touchdown games, three 100+ yard receiving games, and four games with nine receptions.
St. Brown is a must-start in fantasy after week if healthy.
Fantasy Replacements If Amon-Ra St. Brown Misses This Week
If you have Amon-Ra St. Brown on your fantasy football team, you better look for a replacement ASAP just in case he is ruled out for Thursday’s game. New York Jets wide receiver Adonai Mitchell is coming off of the best game of his season, recording eight catches on 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Devaughn Vele is also coming off of his best game of the season, recording eight catches for 93 yards and a touchdown last week.
