After Bryce Young’s Early Injury Scare, Dawn Staley Heaps Praise for Panthers QB

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young received admiration from South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley moments after he briefly exited in the Week 11 game against the Atlanta Falcons near the end of the first quarter.

Young took a hard sack from Falcons rookie safety Billy Bowman Jr. and was helped off the field by trainers. The team initially reported his return to the game was questionable.

Young returned to the game without missing any time as the Falcons’ next drive went on till eight minutes, which was enough for the quarterback to get back on the field. Young went on to play the rest of the half.

In the meantime, Staley showed admiration for the quarterback:

“And Bryce Young is really good at football! @Panthers”

Earlier in August, Dawn Staley visited the Carolina Panthers. The Gamecocks’ head coach talked with players and the coaching staff. During that visit, Bryce Young presented her with an autographed jersey (#9) as a gift.

As for the game is concerned, Young led the Panthers to a 30-27 win against the Falcons. Young completed 31 of 45 passes for 448 yards with three touchdowns against zero interceptions. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan caught eight receptions for 130 yards and two scores.

Bryce Young Receives Appreciation From Panthers WR For Clutch Gene

As such, he has been receiving praise from his own locker room. Wide receiver Xavier Legette has the perfect way to describe Young’s clutch gene.

“Demeanor is always contagious,” McMillan said. “So when you know the leader of your offense is in, you know his good state, calm, collected … he’s built for moments like that. Everybody’s energy just feeds off his.”
