While many thought the Baltimore Ravens would be an AFC Contender this season, they’re in jeopardy of potentially missing the postseason.
The Ravens enter Week 16 with a 7-7 record, following its Week 15 24-0 win against the Cincinnati Bengals. That’s good for second place in the AFC North as the Ravens trail the 8-6 Pittsburgh Steelers by a game.
The race to the playoffs is starting to heat up with there being just three regular season games left in the regular season. The Ravens’ path won’t come easy, with its last three regular season games coming against the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
How Baltimore Can Make The Playoffs
The Baltimore Ravens are not eliminated from the playoffs yet, and have a 23% chance to make the postseason according to NFL.com heading into Week 16. The simplest way for Baltimore to make the playoffs is win out. That would give them the AFC North crown.
Baltimore could get in with some. They could lose one of their next two games if the Steelers lose to the Lions or Browns.
The Steelers could lose its next two games, and if Baltimore wins the season finale, they would win the division.
Current Playoff Picture
Heading into Week 16, only two NFL teams have clinched playoff berths so far. The Denver Broncos, the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and the Los Angeles Rams, the No. 1 seed in the NFC, are both currently playoff bound.
In the NFC, the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the 2-4 seeds, each being divisional leaders. The Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and and Green Bay Packers have the three wildcard spots, being seeds 5-7.
The New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburgh Steelers round out the two, three, and four seeds in the AFC being the other three divisional leaders. The three wildcard spots in the AFC currently belong to the Los Angles Chargers, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans.
