Aaron Rodgers Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need To Know About Steelers QB Status Ahead Of Week 13

Aaron Rodgers is not getting any younger, and as the season goes on, his health issues continue to surface. With their upcoming Week 13 showdown against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, there are some questions about his availability as he tries to push for a return after getting injured.

Rodgers is expected to retire by the end of his 2025 campaign, and he is keen on returning to the field and go out in a blaze of glory. Reports indicate that he is pushing to play against the Bills after missing several games already.

    What Happened To Aaron Rodgers?

Aaron Rodgers’ injury is actually quite serious, as reports have indicated that he is dealing with “several broken bones” on his left wrist, which is in his non-throwing arm. Normally, this would have been a season-ending injury, especially this late in the season, but Rodgers still wants to play.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that the veteran quarterback has “at least three fractures” on his left wrist, with him saying that Rodgers must have been hit hard to break one of those bones as it has been deemed a “more consequential break that can only happen with significant force.”

Will Aaron Rodgers Play Week 13?

Despite those three fractures, Rapoport also reported that it is now looking like the Steelers will be allowing Rodgers to go out with a blaze of glory as his retirement nears. The insider noted that there is belief that Rodgers “can go” on Sunday, three fractures and all.

“Not one, but at least three fractures. But because none are displaced, and because pain tolerance isn’t an issue, he can go,” he reported.

This was later confirmed by head coach Mike Tomlin himself:

“It’s all systems go. Just more reps certainly, but certainly it’s another week. And so I’m sure there’s more comfort there — not only in him, but in the medical experts.”

    Aaron Rodgers Fantasy Outlook

With the Steelers moving forward to have Aaron Rodgers play hurt, it really looks like he will be playing against the Bills on Sunday. However, it should be noted that he will be playing with three fractures on his non-throwing arm, so this could affect his game. Him not playing at 100% could cause some concern as he might not put up the numbers he normally has.
