Minnesota running back Aaron Jones has struggled to stay healthy this season, appearing in only four games thus far. He missed four games earlier this season with a hamstring strain. However, he returned in Week 8 and has played the past two games for the Vikings. He is now dealing with shoulder and toe injuries and has been listed as questionable on the injury report this week.
Aaron Jones Injury Update
Aaron Jones had two separate issues that forced him to leave last week’s game early. He reportedly sustained a minor AC joint sprain in his shoulder. He was absent from practice on Wednesday and was also listed on the injury report with secondary toe issues. He returned as a limited participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday.
Is Aaron Jones Playing Today vs. Ravens?
Yes, Aaron Jones is expected to play on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Despite his multiple injuries, a report on Saturday morning indicated that Jones is expected to play on Sunday.
“Vikings RB Aaron Jones (questionable, shoulder) is expected to play Sunday vs. Ravens, per sources.”

Aaron Jones Fantasy Outlook
Aaron Jones is expected to play on Sunday, but that does not mean you should start him in fantasy. He had his best game of the season last week, rushing nine times for 78 yards. However, that was the first time he had more than 23 yards in a game this season. Injuries have slowed him down, and as a result, he has not been as effective a player as in previous years.
Jones is not expected to be fully healthy on Sunday, and as a result, he is expected to continue to have a sheltered snap share. This could continue for the rest of the season if he continues to struggle with injuries, so his fantasy outlook is not good.
Should I Start Aaron Jones or Alvin Kamara?
Another RB who has played below expectations this year is New Orleans’ Alvin Kamara. He has not put up more than 31 yards in a game since September, with a much larger sample size than Aaron Jones. So, with both players struggling, we prefer to bet on the upside of Jones, even though we do not love him as a fantasy starter.
