Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones has struggled to stay healthy this season. He missed time early in the season with injuries, and now he is back on the injury report. After playing on Sunday in the Vikings’ 27-24 win over the Detroit Lions, Jones appeared on the injury report on Wednesday. Now, his status is unclear heading into the team’s Week 10 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
What Happened to Aaron Jones?
Aaron Jones did not appear to injure himself on Sunday against Detroit. However, he appeared on the injury report on Wednesday as a DNP. He was then upgraded to a limited participant on Thursday with shoulder and toe injuries.
Aaron Jones had 98 total yards in the win over the Lions today. Then he left the game with a shoulder injury and didn’t return. He told me he’s alright and will be back on the field. #Vikings @kare11 pic.twitter.com/eZ6S6YqGSL

Will Aaron Jones Play This Week?
The Minnesota Vikings have not officially announced whether Aaron Jones will be available on Sunday or not. His status on the Friday injury report will be telling. He was upgraded to a limited participant on Thursday, which is a good sign. If he is upgraded to a full participant on Friday, he should be good to go on Sunday. If not, he will likely be listed as questionable heading into Sunday’s game.
Aaron Jones Fantasy Outlook
There is a decent chance Aaron Jones could play this week, but that does not make him a good fantasy option. In four games this season, Jones has only had one performance that was worthy of a fantasy start. That was last week against Detroit when he had nine carries for 78 yards.
Jones is not getting enough of the snap share to be a reliable fantasy player. While he was a star player as recently as last season, that no longer seems to be the case. As a result, his fantasy outlook is not good for the rest of the season, regardless of his injury status.
Fantasy Replacements If Aaron Jones Misses Week 10
If Aaron Jones is out on Sunday, or if you do not feel comfortable starting him, there should still be some solid RB options on the waiver wire in your league. Kyle Monangai on the Chicago Bears is a solid option and could have a good week against the New York Giants. We are also fans of Devin Singletary on the Giants, as the Bears have also struggled defensively this season against the run.
