The 2024 college football season wrapped up with the Colorado Buffaloes finishing strong at 9-4. Among the top players heading to the 2025 NFL Draft is wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. However, fans are reacting to the news in a very skeptical way.

Jimmy Horn Jr. Is a Rising NFL Prospect at the East-West Shrine Bowl
Horn received an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl, a prestigious all-star game set to take place on Jan. 30 at AT&T Stadium. As NFL scouts watch closely, Horn is making a name for himself, proving he’s ready for the next level.
Though the East-West Shrine Bowl practices are where most of the focus is placed on players showcasing their skills, Horn has already started to turn heads with his talent.
According to reporters, scouts have expressed interest in Horn, with one saying:
“Just talked to an NFL scout here at the Shrine Bowl practice, and Jimmy Horn Jr. is a guy they like a lot.”
Let’s see a few of the comments made under the post:
- “Jimmy is better than Travis“
- “Hopefully this scout is for the Broncos.”
- “He’s so deserving. I hope good things happen for him.”
- “Rooting for him!“.
- “He’s the one thats gonna improve his draft stock!!!”
This is an encouraging sign for Horn, who spent two years at Colorado, sharing the field with two-way superstar Travis Hunter. He is a 2024 standout who finished the season with 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. Horn’s 2024 season wasn’t as explosive in terms of stats, but his 441 yards and one touchdown on 37 receptions still put him on the radar of NFL teams.
Horn Jr.’s Journey at Colorado
Horn transferred to the Buffaloes from South Florida, and the transition came with its fair share of challenges. However, once Coach Deion Sanders took over the Colorado program in 2023, Horn began to find his stride. Horn quickly formed a bond with Sanders and the team, becoming an integral part of the wide receiver group.
Horn’s 2024 season opener against North Dakota State University (NDSU) proved to be a major breakout moment in his career. With 198 receiving yards on seven receptions and a touchdown, Horn captivated fans and scouts alike.

This impressive performance didn’t just raise his profile on the field — it also led to a huge boost in his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) valuation, which skyrocketed by 119%, going from $212,000 to $454,000.
Off the field, Horn’s success against NDSU also helped him grow his brand. His Instagram following surged by 50,000 in the aftermath of the game, bringing his total to 176,000.
This increase in visibility translated to more endorsement opportunities, with Horn signing deals with brands like Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, 5430 Alliance, and Buffs4Life NIL Collective.
