NFL Insider Reveals Quinshon Judkins Status as Suspension Rumors Linger Hours Before Bengals Season Opener

Former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins was selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. Despite being a high pick, he was the final member of this year’s draft class to sign. This was because the Browns waited for a resolution to his legal troubles. Judkins was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence and battery charges in July.

Prosecutors declined to pursue the charges a few weeks ago, and as a result, Judkins signed a four-year, $11.4 million deal on Saturday. As is standard with all draft picks, he will have a two-week roster exemption. As a result, he will not be available for the Browns’ Week 1 matchup on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, there are rumors that while Judkins escaped legal repercussions for his actions, he could still face a suspension from the NFL. The NFL is reviewing his situation with a Personal Conduct Policy investigation. The NFL’s findings could result in Judkins being suspended for a few games.

However, according to a report from insider Adam Schefter on Sunday morning, the Browns’ rookie is scheduled to meet with the NFL this week. He also indicated that there is a good chance he could play in Week 2 against Baltimore.

“Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins is scheduled to meet with the NFL this week about its investigation, but there is a real possibility, and even likelihood according to one source, that he will make his NFL debut next Sunday at Baltimore,” Adam Schefter wrote.

Browns Insider Predicts a 2–4 Game Suspension for Quinshon Judkins

While Adam Schefter thinks there is a strong possibility Quinshon Judkins could play in Week 2, Browns insider Tony Grossi does not agree. He believes there is a strong chance he will be suspended for 2-4 games.

“I think there is a zero percent chance. I do think he’s going to be suspended otherwise this case would have been done by now,” Tony Grossi said. “But, the NFLPA is trying to negotiate a reduced suspension. I think the contract will fall in line once they now how many games he’s out.

“2-4,” Grossi added when asked how long he would be suspended.
