The Pittsburgh Steelers may have revealed their NFL Draft plans through social media posts about the drafting of Jalen Milroe.

Dov Kleiman tweeted this from his X account:
The Steelers “really like” star QB Jalen Milroe, so much so that they may draft him in the 1st round, an NFL executive told Colin Cowherd:

“I’m told the Steelers really like Jalen Milroe: twenty-first pick, first round. So if Aaron signs with Pittsburgh, it’s gonna become Kirk Cousins. They’re taking a quarterback. If the 21st pick, Milroe’s not taken, Pittsburgh is leaning now and taking him.”
Milroe would thrive under Mike Tomlin 👀
With Russell Wilson now gone to the New York Giants and Justin Fields also moving on, Pittsburgh is looking at its quarterback needs with a couple of veteran options, including Aaron Rodgers.
Add to this Milroe’s Pro Day performance, which included an unofficial 4.37 40-yard dash time, and the Steelers’ interest in him.
Milroe met with the Steelers at the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine and had a meal with them right before his Pro Day.
A recent Sports Illustrated article quoted The Herd’s Colin Cowherd laying out Pittsburgh’s plans with the NFL draft less than a month away.
“I talked to an NFL exec last night, very well-connected, and this is a keep your head on a swivel, Aaron Rodgers. I’m told the Steelers really like Jalen Milroe. Twenty-first pick, first round,” Cowherd said. “So if Aaron signs with Pittsburgh, it’s gonna become Kirk Cousins. They’re taking a quarterback. If the 21st pick, Milroe’s not taken, Pittsburgh is leaning now and taking him.”
As a best-case scenario, Milroe’s ceiling in the NFL would be a quarterback like Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson. However, Milroe would have to spend much time becoming a better passer and working on other parts of his game.
