From 1965 to 2014, New York City was the city of choice for the event. Since 2015, cities like Chicago and Nashville have hosted, with Green Bay as the eighth. Cities submit bids detailing logistics and fan plans, and the 32 NFL owners vote.
In May last year, Green Bay was selected by vote for the event, thanks to its football heritage and infrastructure. Pittsburgh has also been announced as the host of the 2026 draft.
When will the event start?
Festivities begin on April 23, 2025, with a Prospect Clinic at the NFL Draft Experience, where draft hopefuls coach local youth and Special Olympics athletes. Media get a preview, including a “Taste of Wisconsin” lunch highlighting local cuisine.
A separate “Taste of the Draft” event at Schreiber Foods supports community causes, giving visitors a taste of Green Bay’s hospitality.
