The Alabama Crimson Tide know a thing or two about putting successful players into the NFL. As the next group of Alabama NFL Draft picks are set to join the pros, just how many have made the leap from Tuscaloosa to the NFL?
Alabama NFL Draft Picks by Year
In total, Alabama has had 400 players selected in the NFL Draft since 1936. That list includes two No. 1 picks and 77 total first-round selections. Joe Namath was selected first in the AFL Draft, giving them a total of three first overall selections in professional drafts.
The Crimson Tide have seen six drafts come and go with double-digit players selected, including five drafts since 2017. Nick Saban’s affect turned the Crimson Tide into annual players in the annual player selection meeting and since not placing a single player in the 2008 NFL Draft, saw a whopping 123 draft picks during Saban’s tenure.
