The May 5 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw took place in the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, but the real buzz of the night wasn’t just in the ring; it was in the crowd.

Unsurprisingly, Nebraska fans—and the college football world as a whole—loved the showing by the Cornhuskers.
“My coach is cooler than yours,” one fan proudly boasted.
“Hell yeah GBR Matt Rhule and Dylan Raiola and Emmet Johnson representing Nebraska well once again,” another said.
Another added with excitement: “Can’t even Lie man….Rhule, Raiola AND EJ??…..THIS is pretty cool right here!”
These are just a few of the countless enthusiastic reactions, but they perfectly capture the Huskers’ spirit—Nebraska fans love their head coach. And it’s easy to see why. Rhule quickly turned around the program after returning to the college ranks in 2023, following a rocky stint with the Carolina Panthers.
While his debut season in Lincoln ended with a 5–7 record, it marked real progress. It was the first time Nebraska had won more than four games since 2019.

Then came 2024, a turning point. The Cornhuskers finished 7–6, earned their first bowl berth since 2016, and their first bowl victory since 2015.
With momentum building, the outlook for 2025 is undeniably optimistic. Nebraska will kick off the season on Thursday, August 28, when it takes on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
